Monday, June 2, 2014 Today was a shopping day. I looked for a scorpion necklace and taxidermy items for Jiali. I found antlers, bear claws, teeth, and a tiger paw on a blanket outside of our hotel. Our guide explained that these illegal items are sold by Tibet people and that I could not get through customs with them. (Poor tiger) I didn't have tiger or bear claws on my shopping list. My guide was puzzled why I would want these items. I explained that Jiali has a animal collection. He was surprised to learn she had a turtle shell, crocodile head, and a shark tooth. Nathan wants a sword and I just can't bring myself to buy one. I'm wondering if an I tunes card is more appealing? We spent the afternoon in the pool. I think Qian might be ready for the swim team!
