HAPPY
THANKSGIVING!
We have
so much to be thankful for today! So much. This Thanksgiving
will always stand out in all of our hearts.
Jing Yan (Lauren) is amazing. Seriously, amazing. For the loss
this little girl has endured, she is so strong. There are
moments where I see the sadness in her heart. And there are
quiet moments when she cries, but for the most part, she is true
to how she was described to us- PURE SUNSHINE. She is awesome.
She is goofy. And silly. And she happens to have the best laugh.
She ADORES her brothers and sister. And her Ayi. She goes
equally with Michael and I. She yells with glee when we return,
even if from the bathroom.
She loves to eat. She loves to laugh. She loves to color. She
loves to play. And talk on her princess phone. She loves to push
the elevator buttons and say hello and goodbye to everyone she
sees.
The BEST comment she made to our guide, Shirley is "No one COOKS
in this family!" We laughed so hard. You just wait little one
till we get home! :)
We have fallen head over hills in love with this bundle of love.
If you are reading this and are considering adopting, DO IT. I
cannot scream it more loudly. Your life will never be the same
once touched by the sweet little life of another child.
Ok. Photos. Tonight we are going to have a traditional
Thanksgiving dinner. Well. Ok. We are having Pizza and waffle
fries from Pizza Hut and Craisins. Hey- there are cranberries
and potatoes. That is the best we can do! :) We leave tomorrow
for Guangzhou. All of us are really looking forward to seeing
our travel group again. It has been lonely here a bit!! Happy
Happy Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family- we love
you!! Eat some stuffing for me. |
