Our day started early today. We met with the U.S. Consulate this morning. We took the oath that everything we had put in the documentation was true. They called us to the window, we gave them the last bit of paperwork and signed our DS 230 and we were done... just like that. We went in about 8:30 and came out at 9:00. Our guide had gone to get coffee because she had told us we should be done around 10:00..so she was totally surprised to see us. God is so good... and timely. Have I said that already? :-) Grayson was a really trooper, even though he had to get up way before he was ready to today.

We went shopping for last minute gifts and came back for an afternoon nap... which proved to be Grayson's shortest one yet.... but when he woke up he was so cuddly and happy and playful.... oh I cannot want for you all to see him. He is so completely and utterly amazing. We do not know what we did to deserve such an incredible gift... but we are so glad we did. He is so much fun... you know it is the little things in life... like today when we put sticky rice on his high chair tray and it stuck to his hands... it was hysterical watching him trying to get it off...LOL and like when I have shown him the letter writing app (you know you cannot start too early...LOL) and I will take his pointing finger and do the letters and when I stop, he will reach over and get my hand with his pointing finger all ready... oh my... I could go on... but I will stop.... on one more... and he hooks his little arm around my neck and plays with my hair as he is going to sleep....he is just so incredible.... Tony and I are still ... a week later... in disbelief that he gets to come home with us! Please join us in praying and believing peace and happy travels to him on Wednesday, we will be flying three hours from Guangzhou back to Beijing in the morning and for a little over 13 hours back to D.C. I know God can send special comfort to him.. which will in turn comfort his Mommy and Daddy!:-)

Today's pictures... you will see several of him loving and playing on the iPad...then you will see him reaching for Daddy when he was put into a scary kind of mechanical mouse...another picture of him playing on "Gotcha Day"...
