About Grayson

Our son, Grayson, waits for us in the Hubei province located in central China. He was born on August 8, 2011. When we first saw his pictures and video on Jan. 5, 2013, we instantly fell in love. We knew our prayers had been answered and continued the process to bring him home. His Name His caretakers at Children’s Welfare Institute of Xiangyang City named him Qiu Peng, because they said he will grow up to be a “sunshine boy who likes sports.” We chose the name Grayson, because Tony and his Dad shared the middle name, Gray. We went through many names for his middle name before settling on Chandler, a name Tony found online and we both loved. The Call On April 25, I received the call we had been waiting on. I was in my classroom and my cell phone buzzed. I took the call and it was the adoption agency calling to tell us that we had received travel approval. I literally jumped up and down. I immediately called Tony to tell him and he was equally as excited. We purchased our tickets to China on April 26th! Our Son Grayson is a handsome, fun little boy. He was described at one year old, as having a pair of big round eyes and long eyelashes. They said he had a quiet, deep appearance. They said he has a very quiet nature. We are so thankful that God has chosen to bless us with this handsome little boy. We adore him already and are so looking forward to the moment when we get to put our arms around him – for the chance to hear him giggle, for the opportunity to put a smile on his face, and to look into his big brown eyes and tell him that we love him. And we can’t wait for the day when he knows we are his forever family!
