Andy and I both arrived in Beijing safely last night. It was
great to
finally see Andy after two weeks! I still can't believe we're
actually
here.
Today we had a VERY full day of site-seeing, shopping and
eating. We
began the day at Tiananmen Square. Next we entered the Forbidden
City.
We
toured the Emperor's Garden and then visited a pearl factory.
After a
quick
lesson on how to use chop sticks, we enjoyed a delicious Chinese
meal.
Following lunch we headed to the Summer Palace and then to a
silk
factory. The evening was concluded with an authentic Peking duck dinner.
As you
can
imagine - we are both exhausted.
It has been wonderful to
finally meet
the
other moms that I've been communicating with for the last year.
We are
all
counting down the hours until we get to meet our daughters. It
won't
be
long now!
