OUR ITINERARY!

Nov. 1-2 - fly to Beijing, and meet up with Katie's aunt Karen [we arrive on Nov. 2, due to long flights and crossing the International Date Line!]

Nov. 3 - enjoy Beijing as a family [we're hoping to see some of Beijing's 8th century Hutongs (old neighborhoods) before they're torn down next year to make way for more Olympic buildings]

Nov. 4 - meet up with rest of GWCA group and do all of the wonderful touristy things people visiting Beijing do [climb on the Great Wall -- then buy the t-shirt that says "I climbed the Great Wall of China!"-- tour the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, see the Chinese Acrobat show, etc.]

Nov. 5 - fly to Guangzhou as a group and check into the White Swan Hotel

Nov. 6 - KATIE DAY!

Nov. 7-15 - various appointments, tours & playing with our new daughter/sister

Nov. 16 - American Consulate appointment

Nov. 17 - Family goes to American Consulate to pick up Katie's passport & visa

Nov. 18 - fly out of Guangzhou to Hong Kong to Chicago to HOME!! [going back over the International Date Line means we leave China at 8:00 am on the 18th, and get home at 3:20 pm on the same day!!]

Katie currently resides at the Yandgong Social Welfare Institute in Guangdong Province. We anticipate traveling to China in the fall of 2006 to bring her home! In addition to her parents and brothers, Katie's grandmother, six aunts, four uncles, many cousins and great friends from our community and our wonderful church family, anxiously await Katie's arrival in the U.S.A.!
