THE PAPERCHASE April 19th 2010 – See First Picture of Grace Huirong April 22nd 2010 – Write Letter of Intent to Adopt Grace Huirong April 28th 2010 – Receive Provisional Approval from China to Adopt Grace Huirong May 6th 2010 – Our Social Worker Completes our Homestudy May 7th 2010 – Apply to United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) for approval as adoptive parents (I-800A) June 10th 2010 – Give our fingerprints to USCIS June 14th 2010 – USCIS pass Mike’s fingerprints, Margaret’s are unreadable so she has to redo them June 16th 2010 – USCIS approves our I-800A July 2nd 2010 – Our Agency sends our adoption dossier to China July 13th 2010 – The Chinese Adoption Authorities Log In our dossier September 7th 2010 – We receive our letter of approval from China September 9th 2010 – We apply to the USCIS for Grace Huirong to be approved as our daughter (I-800) September 23rd 2010 – USCIS approves our I-800 October 4th, 2010 – Cable for Grace’s Visa sent to Guangzhou October 21st, 2010 - Our Article 5 was picked up from the Consulate November 15th, 2010 - We receive Travel Approval from China November 16th, 2010 – We receive notice of our Consular Appointment at the US Consulate in Guangzhou it will be on 12/08/10 November 21st, 2010 – We fly to Shanghai December 12th, 2010 – We fly home
