"Be joyful always;
pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for
this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
-I Thessalonians 5:16-18 |
Well, July has come and gone
so quickly and we are still waiting for our Travel Approval from
China. It is so tough to wait as we long every day to hold our
sweet Zoe in our arms and kiss her from head to toe!!! We know
everything is in God’s perfect timing and He is still trying to
teach us patience!!
We have had a great summer and I can’t believe school is
starting in 2 short weeks! Zach played baseball this summer for
the Bellevue Cardinals and had a great time! It is so fun to
watch him get all of his baseball gear on and instantly change
from skater boy to Mr. Baseball! He loved playing first base
with a mouth full of sunflower seeds and sweat pouring down his
little cheeks. In his down time he is all about skating! He has
even surprised me with his ability to talk his sister into
laying on the road while he jumps her on his skateboard! I
convinced him not to jump Bay, so he choose her bike instead.
Bailey on the other had is all about swimming!!! I also love to
watch her swim and try new dives off the board. I am sure she is
part fish! If you watch her underwater she is always smiling and
it is a wonder she doesn’t drown with her mouth always open! She
is also part super star and is constantly singing and dancing
for us on the coffee table to her High School Musical CD! We are
always surprised to see what new dance she has made up and what
her makeup and costume will be!
We got to visit my home town’s county fair in 100 degree heat!
The kids had a blast- -Zach working in the food barn and Bay
washing all the Lamas. The big highlight at the fair hands down
was when I finally agreed to letting them bungee jump. What was
I thinking? It scared me to death watching my babies fly through
the air! Unfortunately they have No Fear just like their Dad and
loved every minute of it screaming “HIGHER!”
Big huge Thank you to Bonni, Jen and Kelly for all their hard
work and kindness in giving Zoe a baby shower! Thank you also to
my Mom, my dear childhood friend Michelle and all the ladies
from the gym for helping me celebrate this special occasion and
blessing us with gifts for our sweet Zoe! We have been trying
out the toys, we have packed the clothes and Bay is breaking in
Zoe’s new car seat!
We ended July with Zach in the hospital 2 days and a cast all
the way up to his thigh!! Zach was practicing for a skating
competition; he had been looking forward to all summer, at the
indoor skate park in Lincoln. He was going off a 7 foot ramp and
his foot got stuck and well, that is the end of the story! Thank
you everyone for your prayers and gifts to Zach! He is feeling
better each day; he is getting really fast on his crutches and
has only had a couple of wipeouts in parking lots when he misses
the curb!
Please continue to pray for our family as we are so eagerly
awaiting our Travel Approval! Continue to pray that God knits
our hearts together with Zoe’s little heart and for her safety
until we are able to squeeze her in our arms and kiss her sweet
lips! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of our friends and
family who have so generously blessed us financially to help
bring our Zoe home!! We love you all! |
