Today is Sunday. We opted out of Church due to the squirmy baby
and went to the Guangdong Province Zoo. This was very cool. All
the animals were different. We didn’t stay long enough to find
the panda’s since it was again raining the whole time. But we
saw about every kind or bear, tiger and bird you could ever want
to see. Hope was thrilled to see an astride. They had a
beautiful lake with many ducks and swans. Micah was happy to
share his snacks with them. After the zoo, we headed back and
found an American bar and grill called Lucy’s. Hope ordered her
favorite Chicken and fries and we got salads and quesadillas.
Every thing was so good we went back again for dinner. In
between meals we bought all kinds of souvenirs. Steve haggled
for the best deal on a rain coat and got a great one for a third
of the cost it would be in the states. After dinner we headed
back to the room and Hope fell asleep immediately but Micah
having a late afternoon nap was rearing to go. He colored on
most anything that looked like paper as I spoke with a friend in
the hotel who was also adopting a boy and is from West Chester
too. We shared similar stories and hope to meet for dinner
tomorrow night. |
