Hi Everyone! Today was a good day because we mainly just stayed in our room and spent time with Lilli Kate. It also gave us the opportunity to continue recuperating from the Walmart experience. I should have known better. I don't like Walmart in America, I certainly can't be expected to like the China version!

Anyway, the only required task today was the visit to the physician for Lilli's physical. The doctor arrived at our hotel around 9:30 a.m. and set up his office in the room right next to ours. The CCAI representative would call your hotel room and let you know when to come for the physical.

Lilli's physical went well. The doctor did hear a little congestion in her chest and advised that we continue to use the medicine that was previously sent with her. He did not believe that antibiotics were necessary. I hope she continues to improve. Once we get her home, we will definitely be visiting our own doctor! She is eating well and having a good time.

We also received the original "finding ad" with Lilli's notice. The finding ad is what is required by the Chinese government when an abandoned child has been found. By law, the government is required to run this notice to give birth parents and other relatives the opportunity to obtain custody of the baby prior to the baby being placed for adoption. The newspaper has several pictures of all of the newborns found within a certain time period and a description of the baby, etc. This is the first picture taken of Lilli. After reading the translation, it is obvious that Lilli's birth mother cared about Lilli and made sure that she was placed somewhere that she would be found and cared for. I hope that this will one day be obvious to Lilli as well.
