With indescribable joy, we introduce our Ethan Yunhui. The descriptions below provide what we know today about our little guy. Chinese Name Chang Yunhui (pronounced Yuun Hhwaay) Estimated to be born on Nov.11 2006, our beautiful little boy was picked up in the Taihua Hotel at No.B8, Liren street, Baizhifang, Xuanwu district, Beijing on Nov.30 2006. At that time his whole body was wrapped in a pink coat to keep his body warm; he had nothing else with him. From Nov. 30, 2006 to Dec. 13, 2006, he was cared for at the Baizhifang police station (of the Xuanwu branch of the Beijing public security bureau) before being sent to the Children’s Welfare Institute of Beijing City, where he lived from December 13,2006 to February 2007. From February 2007 (Ethan was approximately 3 months old) to this day, he has lived with his foster family. His name’s origin Chang was given to all boys admitted in 2006 to the Children’s Welfare Institute in Beijing; they all have the surname of Chang. The man who found him was named Shen Yunhui; in recognition of that gentleman, the Institute staff named our little one Chang Yunhui. Yun Hui when written separately means “cloud splendor” but when written together, Yunhui means both “happiness” as well as "radiant and splendid." Ethan means “strength,” and in some Hebrew translations also means “wisdom.” His nannies describe Yunhui as “a lovely boy, his pair of large eyes on his round face blinks, looking bright and lovely. He is extroverted, but seeing strangers he is still a little timid. After being familiarized Yunhui can go to talk to strangers proactively. Bright Yunhui learned to roll over at the age of 4 months. At the age of 7 months he learned to sit. At the age of 8 months he can crawl around quickly on the mat to take the toys he liked. At the age of 15 months bright Yunhui began to learn walking. Now he can walk well, but can not walk for a long time.

Usually Yunhui likes listening to music best. When listening happily he can swing his body following the music which looks very lovable. Yunhui can say some simple words, usually he talks with foster mum incessantly, asks questions to foster mum till he understands. Seeing his lovely appearance foster mum feels very gratified. Usually Yunhui also likes playing games with kids. Although being young, in the games he knows to decline modestly with other kids, knows to share the games and happiness with kids, sometimes Yunhui also likes watching cartoons. Seeing colorful scenes he will stand there stilly. When watching happily he can clap hands to express his enjoyment. He likes sweet food best, has good appetite and moderate eating volume. He can go to sleep alone with sound sleep, has no other bad sleeping habits. Everyone calls him Huihui kindly.” His last report was written in June 2008.
