Thursday we were busy! We met the guide in the hotel lobby at 8
am and rode in the van for 1 hour to the Terracotta Warriors and
Horses Museum just outside of the city Lintong District, Xi'an,
Shaanxi Province, near the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor.
We viewed the amazing archaeological excavation discovery of
warriors and horses. We viewed the 3 pits that are currently
being discovered. We ate lunch at traditional Chinese Tea Room -
with Lychee hot tea and sandwiches.
We were an interesting attraction at the Museum for many Chinese
people. They would ask our guide if Elliott was her baby and she
would tell them no. It is her baby and they would say but baby
has Chinese face and she would say I was in China adopting him.
We heard the following comments he is cute baby, he has good
skin, his skin is light colored, he is very strong and healthy
looking, he is a happy baby, he is very lucky, he is now going
to the "honey pot". I asked our guide what going to the "honey
pot" meant-the guide explained he is going to live in USA with
rich family. Baby Elliott is sooo lucky and will have a good
life !
The next stop in the afternoon was the Huaquin Hot Springs- it
was very beautiful and peaceful. We put our hands in the hot
spring water - it is rich in minerals and good for ones body.
Next stop was a jade factory with lots of jade jewelry.
Then we received a call we need to go to the notary public
office to pick up the official adoption documents they were
completed.
Then we came back to the hotel to scan to email and fax the
documents to the government for the adoption. This step was
necessary to complete the process due to Daddy staying home.
It was now 6 pm and Elliott had not taken one nap all day and
was ready for a bottle, bath and bed,
I know you are all waiting to hear the Sister Talk for the day.
Well, let say I definitely stimulated the global economy today !
Daddy Dean this is the part where you can stop reading and look
at the pictures.
I bought a jade ring for myself, a jadite bracelet for myself, a
big asian jewelry box I have dreamed about for years,
a terracotta warrior made from clay from pit 1 of the
archaeological excavation with a certificate of authenticity,
and signed book by the farmer that was digging the well and
discovered the terracotta pieces, and a case of water for my
hotel room.
So I was feeling really bad about helping out the economy and
for supper had to eat Tuna Lunch to go I bought from home. HAHA
Until Friday adventure.
We love ya,

The Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses
In 1974, when several local farmers were sinking a well in
Lintong District, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, they came upon many
clay fragments of terracotta figurines.
"Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses" is a collection of terracotta
sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the
firstEmperor of China. Archaeological excavation resulted in the
discovery of 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots and 520 horses and 150
cavalry horses, the majority are still buried in pits. The new
discovery stirred up a sensation all over the world. In order to
adequately protect, a museum was set up on site. The figurines
date back to 210 BC
