Praise the Lord! We
are starting to see positive changes in Chloe since we have
received her. We expected developmental delays for a couple
reasons. First she was a preemie. Second, she was in an
orphanage for over 15 months of her life. Still, it is hard to
watch your child struggle or worse yet, make no attempt
whatsoever. But tonight she made significant progress. Last
night she ate 1/3 of her baby food pouch. Tonight she ate the
whole thing in one setting. Not only did she eat the whole
pouch, but then she reached for my spoon and wanted my food. So
I gave her some soft carrots out of my stir fry. Her first
solids! Even more exciting than eating her first solids is that
she reached for it! Until now, she has not reached for any
object. We offer her toys and she shows no interest. After my
bowl, she went for her sister's spaghetti, (& put her hand in it
- yay!), then on to dad's rice. All the while making an "mmmmmm"
sound! - Lol! We couldn't be happier.
"O magnify the
Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together."
