Hey everyone, well it’s Day 6 of our trip and it feels like we
left home yesterday. The anticipation of getting our little
girl was so intense that time seemed to stand still while we
waited. Now that we have her, we can’t remember a time when we
didn’t.
Mylee is feeling a little bit better today. Her eye is still
having a little bit issue and she’s still congested but she
was able to keep down some juice, milk and her medicines.
Thank you all for your prayers and keep them coming.
We met the Kawadas and DeBolts for breakfast this morning. Our
hotel has a huge breakfast buffet and it’s so much fun to see
the entire dining room filled with adoptive families and their
precious little ones. We all share a special bond and that is
that we love our little girls to no end.
After breakfast we spent the majority of our day in the room
while Mylee slept. She really needed the rest. Daddy ran a few
errands and then mommy was finally able to leave the hotel and
go and browse in a couple of the shops. Janna and I left the
girls with the daddies so we weren’t gone too long :0) The
shops are tiny and incredibly hot so it doesn’t make for the
most pleasant shopping experience. We’ll have to venture out
again soon.
We have been having dinner in our room the last few nights and
since Mylee is feeling a little better, we thought it would be
nice to have dinner in one of the nice restaurants in the
hotel. We met the Nacipils, Kawadas and DeBolts and had a
fantastic dinner outside by the river. The restaurant featured
“barbecue” so you picked what type of meat, seafood and
vegetable you want and then they grill it for you. It was
awesome, the best meal that we’ve had so far. The babies all
did really well and we enjoyed the great company. We truly
feel that we are forming friendships that will last a
lifetime.
Tomorrow the group will be going on a tour. Hopefully Mylee
will be feeling up to it. We can definitely tell that she is
feeling a little bit better as her personality is really
starting to show. She is such a happy baby and loves to play.
We can’t wait to unite her with her big sister Mimi and all of
our family. She has so many people who are waiting to embrace
and love her. We are all truly blessed.
Goodnight from China, we love you all……
