Sorry it took so long to post but we’ve had another busy day.
Mylee slept for 8 hours last night, wish I could say the same
for mommy and daddy. Her eyes are looking a little swollen
still and she still has the cough, runny nose and congestion.
We met our travel group at 10am and headed back to the Civil
Affairs office where we received Mylee to do two interviews to
finalize the adoption. We also took our first family picture
for Mylee’s adoption certificate. Since she still wasn’t
feeling well, on the way back towards our hotel, our guide
Chris, agency director Val, and agency rep Andrea took us to a
Chinese hospital to have Mylee examined. All of the families
were very supportive and wished us well. The hospital was
quite a unique experience and we thank God that Chris was
there and handling everything for us. He is amazing. The
doctor prescribed some antibiotic for her infection, eye drops
and cough medicine. Let’s hope this all does the trick. Please
pray for our little girl to feel better quickly.
After the hospital visit, we returned to the Victory Hotel,
grabbed our luggage and checked out. We then checked into the
White Swan Hotel where we will be for the remainder of our
stay here in China. It is a beautiful hotel and we were so
happy to finally be here. We are staying in a junior suite
that is incredible. The suite has two separate living areas- a
living room with a desk area and ½ bath and a huge bedroom and
bathroom. Ahhh, the luxury of being able to unpack and spread
out. We are happy people. We gave Mylee her medicines and a
bath and then all fell asleep around 5:30 pm. We were
exhausted. It’s now 2am and we’re up for another round of
diaper changes and a feeding.
Attached are a few pictures from yesterday- our friends the
DeBolts with their precious baby Melina, Jojo and Dan Nacipil
with the babies, Jojo and his buddy David Kawada, and then a
couple of pictures from today.
I’ll try to take more pictures tomorrow since I know that is
what you all want.
Good night from China!
