PACKED AND READY TO GO!

It is Wednesday evening as I write this here in China . The bellboys are picking up our luggage at 9PM. We will leave at 5:40 AM Thursday morning to fly to Shanghai . We will spend most of the day at the Shanghai airport until we leave for Chicago at 5pm ( China time). It is going to be a very long travel day with children in tow. Please pray for us as we journey home.

It is tradition among adoptive families to take pictures on the red couch in the lobby of the White Swan. It was an emotional time as we have watched the blogs of so many families before us taking pictures at the red couch. Today it was our turn and we would like to share the pictures with you.

We have had a wonderful time in China! We are also very happy to be heading home. We thank you so much for your prayers. Our trip has gone so smoothly and Tia is transitioning very well. The first few days we had to work so hard for a smile and now she smiles so often. She has been sleeping so great at night. I hope the 13 hour time change doesn’t change her sleeping patterns. She doesn’t know the trip she’s going to make tomorrow but we hope we’ll be able the have her feel safe and secure. She is such a blessing to us!

We now need to attend to some last minute packing details. We’ll see you all soon!
