Wed., Nov. 22
Depart Indianapolis at 8:20 on Northwest, route thru Detroit, Tokyo, then on to Beijing .

Thurs., Nov. 23
Happy Thanksgiving! I think we “skip” most of Thanksgiving Day due to the International Dateline. Arrive Beijing at 9:15 p.m., then off to the Zhaolong Hotel.

Fri. Nov. 24 & Sat. Nov. 25
Meet other 8 FTIA families, tour Great Wall, Summer Palace and Forbidden City . See Acrobatic Show.

Sun., Nov. 26
Fly with two families from Beijing to Nanjing , the capital of Jiangsu , Kristen’s home province. Staying at the Grant Metro Park Hotel.

Mon., Nov. 27 GOTCHA DAY!!
Receive Kristen into our waiting arms sometime in the morning! This will be Sunday evening back at home ~ around the time you go to bed, please pray for Kristen’s little heart to have peace in this period of transition.

Tues., Nov. 28
Appointment at Civil Affairs Bureau to complete the adoption in the eyes of China . We are officially a family of five!

Wed., Nov. 29 & Thurs., Nov. 30
We have requested permission to visit Kristen’s orphanage on one of these days. Please pray that we get to visit the orphanage!

Fri., Dec. 1
Pick up finalized paperwork in morning, fly out in afternoon to Guangzhou and the White Swan hotel.

Sat., Dec. 2
Kristen’s medical exam and Visa photo taken

Sun, Dec. 3
Hopefully we will get to go to church and worship our Lord and Savior with believers from around the world!

Mon, Dec. 4
Agency coordinator attends U.S. Consulate appointment to submit Kristen’s visa application in the morning.

Tues., Dec. 5
Group Oath of Citizenship taken at the U.S. Consulate. Receive Kristen’s visa.

Wed., Dec.6
Depart Guangzhou 8:30 a.m.. Back to the States via Tokyo , Detroit , then finally arrive in Indianapolis in the late afternoon. That’s one long day! (thanks to the international date line!) Finally get our arms back around our two wonderful sons! Introduce Kristen to the family, and begin the next chapter of our lives.
