Sorry again for the posting issues! I really thought
I'd be better about this but today just wasn't a good day. Lily
slept good at night so we happy for that. She had her first bath
this morning...that was awful. We had to take the patch off her
belly button and it hurt her poor little skin :( She cried out
"mama" while I was doing it. I don't think she was crying for
me, but at least we got to hear her talk! We have yet to hear
anything but crying, no sounds or talking. We eased up on the
eating for her this morning at breakfast. Stuck to congee and
water.
We applied for her Chinese passport this morning. That was super
quick. No paperwork involved, just had to show our passports and
take a picture. There were lots of families there. The same ones
that were with us on Gotcha Day when everyone received their
child. Their were 14 families all together, from the U.S.,
Netherlands, and Spain. She hates the bus so she cried all the
way there, and while we were there, and back. The traffic here
doesn't bother me too much. It's crazy but it seems to work for
them. The smog is yucky though! I actually saw sunlight today
but just for a minute. The weather is nice here and it was quite
warm today.
We decided to stay at the hotel all day. She cried all day...all.day.long.
The only time she didn't is when we walked. She loves to walk
and it seems to calm her. She can go for about 10 minutes then
she gets tired. She just has no muscle or fat on her. We are
working on building those muscles up though. We went to the pool
and by that time she had fallen asleep in my carrier. She slept
on me for 20 minutes or so and seemed to like the outdoors.
She loves snacks so we've been giving her anything she will
take. She won't grab it from your hand or anywhere else, you
have to put it in her mouth. She won't touch any toys other than
the two that she has to take everywhere...her egg and a teething
ring. She doesn't let go of them.
Tim is loving the whole process but was a little done with
crying at the end. We both were. We were very patient though as
this process isn't about us. She is grieving so hard and she
doesn't feel well on top of it.
We are loving every minute of her though. She is absolutely
perfect :)
We love you so much Grady, Declan, and Hayden! 7 more days!! |
